This week's content for European Nintendo fans is quite the bevy of scrumptious content. There's a new chapter in the Tales of Monkey Island franchise to laugh through, as well as some new stuff for your little ne'er-do-well in My Life as a Darklord . If WiiWare isn't your thing, you could always shoot everything in sight in some R-Type on the Virtual Console. See? Totally a bevy. You, Me, and the Cubes (WiiWare, 1 -2 players, 1,000 Wii Points) Tales of Monkey Island Chapt

Last week left us with numerous different ways to waste away the precious hours of our summer. This week looks decidedly more sparse, as the landscape of Wii downloadable titles has been limited to only WiiWare titles. Though this seems like a curious decision on the part of Nintendo, let’s take a look at what they are bringing to the table. This week’s Nintendo downloads include some interesting offerings, but oddly not a single Virtual Console game in the bunch. Leading the WiIWare releases is the anticipated My Life as a Darklord , the sequel to last year’s My Life as a King . Instead of managing forces to invade a castle, your Darklord defends her keep, for 1,000 Wii Points ($10 USD). Also gracing WiiWare this week is Battle Poker for 800 Wii Points ($8). Players dash to grab cards in order to form the best 5-card hand. Finally,

I never got a chance to play My Life as a King, but I’m curious to play the sequel as I here it’s much of the same gameplay but with a few different elements. The Virtual Console gets dissed this week as it lacks any downloads, but the WiiWare picks up the slack with two other downloads in Battle Poker and 5 Spots Party. The

Well, I hope you enjoyed last weeks two-game Virtual Console update, because the VC is missing entirely from this weeks update. That seems kind of low for a Square Enix game, doesn’t it? Where’s the Square Enix tax? Well, who needs a tax when there’s $57 worth of DLC available (at least in Europe, since the ga
